HQ-17 compare to HQ-16 is that this one can move together with armour units and once enemy aerial threat are detected, HQ-17 stopped and identify the target, lock on and fire off the missile at the threat.

Compare to HQ-16 which cannot move together with the mobile or armour units. This HQ-17 is a massive asset for ground units. CAS and attack helo will be easily meat for this missile.
