 show Pentagon officials believed Soviet spies were able to manifest 
"ball lightning" by using the brain as a "superconductor" as late 
as 1990.<br />

According to the documents, that year, a member of the Defense 
Intelligence Agency (DIA) took interest in an article from the Chinese 
Journal of Somatic Science, itself a translation and summary of an 
article from the Soviet Science and Life magazine. The staffer then 
retranslated the Chinese translation for the Pentagon's files, and 
incorporation into the StarGate program.<br />

The article focused on "super-sensitives" — alleged masters of 
"super-perception" with "amazing abilities" that let them diagnose and 
treat illnesses "with results better than doctors" using only their 
hands. Super-sensitives would, according to the article, "feel the 
biological field with his hands" a few centimeters away from a patient. 
Moreover, their abilities were said to improve over time, to the point 
they had "super human abilities to cure ailments."<br />

The translation also describes a conversation with the "Deputy 
Director of the Soviet Academy of Sciences Radio Technology and 
Electronics Institute and director of the Radio Electronics Remote 
Sensing Methods Graduate Body Laboratory" — over the course of the chat,
 the director allegedly said he had discovered a plant "which can detect
 evidence of a crime" and transmit it to a super-sensitive.<br />

 from whose name the term "mesmerized" is derived — was a German 
physician with an interest in astronomy, who believed that there was a

"superconductor," which allowed super-sensitives to create "ball 
lightning" within a "channel" of energy, which they would "only have 
to concentrate."<br />

According to discussions with a lab researcher, physicist, and 
mathematician, the Soviets had, while researching control of body 
temperature, discovered the electrical power source "is on the skin." 
So-called "super-sensitives" are even allegedly able to bring dead 
plants back to life.<br />
<br />
"This is what that person does — he stretches out both hands 
to within 15 to 20 centimeters of shrivelled green leaves, and it looks 
like he is going to inject new life into dead cells. After several 
minutes, the leaves begin to shine, and have been restored to life," the
 article continues.<br />

In closing, the article's author says anyone who doubts the veracity 
of these apparent superhuman capabilities are "stupid" and "arrogant."<br />

 StarGate project was established in 1978 at Fort Meade, Maryland, 
by the DUA and SRI International (a California contractor) 
to investigate the potential for psychic phenomena in military and domestic intelligence applications.<br />
<br />
Ingo Douglas Swann was the man behind the project. He was a claimed 
psychic, artist, and author known for being the co-creator, along with 
Russell Targ and Harold Puthoff, of "remote viewing" —  a process 
in which viewers were allegedly able to view a location given nothing 
but its geographical coordinates.<br />
In one such session detailed in the StarGate files, Swann reportedly transferred his consciousness to the planet Jupiter.<br />

An online countdown says there are just days left till the alleged 
apocalyptic event predicted by author and doomsayer David Meade for 
September 23. The prediction, involving the so-called Planet X smashing 
into Earth, has been repeatedly debunked by NASA.

Meade wrote <a href="https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1456626922/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=xmediax-20&camp=1789&creative=9325&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=1456626922&linkId=9e5253b0d64855e60533f6b83cff931c">a book</a>
 called “Planet X” in which he predicts that the planet, which is also 
called Nibiru, crashes into Earth in October. Recent events, including 
Hurricane Harvey and the solar eclipse, have caused him to move the date
 forward by a few weeks.<br />

Meade cites Bible passages from <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke%2021:25-26">Luke 21:25 and 26</a> as proof that these recent events are signs of an impending apocalypse.<br />
His belief that the world will end is based on another Bible verse called <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=revelation+12&version=NIV">The Woman and the Dragon</a> from the Book of Revelation.<br />
<br />
Evangelical Christian publication “Unsealed” tells the story of the verse in a four-minute YouTube video called<i> “September 23, 2017: You Need to See This.”</i>
 It uses animation from the planetarium software Stellarium showing 
constellations Virgo and Leo setting with the Sun. It is superimposed 
over the landscape of Jerusalem.<br />

Meade shared the video on his <a href="http://writers-web-services.com/">website</a>.<br />
The theory has sparked feverish speculation online, with numerous conspiracy theory videos emerging on YouTube. A <a href="https://yourcountdown.to/the-end-of-the-world">countdown clock</a> has even been created to, supposedly, mark our planet’s final moments.<br />

NASA has repeatedly stated that Nibiru and other stories about 
wayward planets are an internet hoax and there is no factual basis for 
these claims.<br />
The space agency say that if a planet was on a 
collision course with Earth, astronomers would have been tracking it for
 the last decade and it would be visible to the naked eye by now.<br />

 searching hundreds of millions of objects across our sky, NASA's 
Wide-Field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) has turned up no evidence of 
the hypothesized celestial body in our solar system commonly dubbed 
‘Planet X,’”</i> it previously <a href="https://www.nasa.gov/jpl/wise/planet-x-20140307">said in a statement</a>.<br />

Senior NASA scientist David Morrison also debunked the claim in a video titled <i>“The truth about Niburu”.</i><br />
<i>“It’s not real, Niburu doesn’t exist, we can’t see it we can’t 
detect its gravity and we don’t see a signature of its previous passages
 because there weren’t any,”</i> Morrison said.<br />

The stunning footage was captured by 
Andreas Mogensen, an astronaut from the European Space Agency (ESA), 
during his mission on the International Space Station in 2015.</div>

Mr
 Mogensen said: 'It is not every day that you get to capture a new 
weather phenomenon on film, so I am very pleased with the result – but 
even more so that researchers will be able to investigate these 
intriguing thunderstorms in more detail soon.' </div>

Denmark's
 National Space Institute has now published the results, which include a
 video recorded by Mr Mogensen as he flew over the Bay of Bengal at 
28,800 km/h.</div>

Some of the most notable 
findings suggest that the discharges appear to play a crucial role in 
the exchange of gases between the troposphere and the stratosphere.</div>

Until now, researchers thought that sprites were red because of nitrogen interacting with electricity in the upper atmosphere. </div>

But
 the new study suggests that sprites actually release a comparably large
 amount of serveral oxides of nitrogen in the upper atmosphere. </div>

upper atmosphere – and shot a short video showing 245 blue flashes.</div>

 on one of the highest hills in west Jerusalem, Kiriath-Jearim is 
mentioned in the Bible as a resting place of the Ark of the Covenant, a 
gold gilded wooden chest from the Book of Exodus which contained tablets
 inscribed with the Ten Commandments. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><b><br /></b></span>
<span style="font-size: small;">In
 1905, a farmer discovered remnants of a Byzantine place of worship on 
the hill. This summer, archaeologists from Tel Aviv University and 
College de France will climb the mound to search for new information 
regarding passages from the Hebrew Bible. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: small;">The dig <a href="http://www.college-de-france.fr/site/milieux-bibliques/Mission-archeologique-de-Kiriath-Jearim.htm">organizers</a> say their objective is to unearth any other buried mysteries at the largely unexplored Iron Age site.</span><br />

<span style="font-size: small;"><i>“The
 excavation will also make it possible to determine if there existed in 
the Judean mountains… a temple dedicated to the god Baal,”</i> a College de France statement said. <i>“In
 addition, the search will provide a better understanding of the 
historical background of important Biblical passages, including those 
related to the Ark of the Covenant.”</i></span><br />

<span style="font-size: small;">According to Biblical 
writings, the Ark of the Covenant was constructed by Moses at the behest
 of God and accompanied the Israelites during their 40 years of exile in
 the desert.</span><br />

 a large, central site in the Jerusalem hills that hasn’t been studied

On Saturday, following a 
freezing night, Mr Poineau awoke to find the lake, located near Boyne 
City, to be oddly clear. Naturally he went down to the shore to inspect 
it, bringing with him a shovel to test how deep the ice was. He found it
 to be about 2 inches thick, National Geographic <a href="http://news.nationalgeographic.com/2017/01/viral-floating-lake-ice-photos-michigan/">reports</a>.<br />

 his first Facebook post in almost two years, the not-so-avid social 
media user is amused by the attention the photos have received, as for 
him the phenomenon is not so unusual. Poineau has experienced such an 
occurrence at least half a dozen times, and he has lived on the lake his

The buildings visible in the video are actually surrounded by <i>“radiation fog,”</i> which occurs when the ground temperatures cool and the moisture in the air condenses as a result, according to <a href="http://news.xinhuanet.com/local/2017-01/15/c_129447285.htm">Xinhua News Agency</a>. As temperatures rise, the fog usually evaporates.<br />

Luckily for residents, the fog was not radioactive, explained Li Dongyang, the city’s Meteorological Bureau deputy director.<br />

the extensive release, there have been no conclusive findings documented

 seems the CIA was keen to emphasize the importance of rapid but 
thorough reporting of any such sightings as a matter of national 
security, listing the four phases of air defense as: detection, 
identification, interception and destruction. The Unidentified Flying 
Object Program requires that all US Air Force (USAF) commanders adhere 
strictly to these guidelines.<br />

 procedure calls on air force commanders to report all UFO sightings 
including those received from other agencies, governmental bodies or 
civilians.<br />
When reporting a sighting, the document states that the
 following data points must be specified and explained in as much detail
 as possible: shape, size, color, number, formation, distinct or unique 
features, any tail, trail or exhaust, any sounds and any other unusual 
features not covered by the preceding points.<br />

 USAF also highlights the three major reasons for taking UFO sightings 
so seriously: air defense and the elimination of any potential threats 
to the United States or its armed forces; to determine the technical or 
scientific characteristics of such UFOs and thus maintain military 
intelligence and technological dominance; to explain or identify all 
such instances in order to maintain strategic readiness in all 
eventualities.<br />

 its own handy set of guidelines for amateur stargazers out there to 
organize themselves and flood their local air force bases with sighting

 it's been revealed that the CIA conducted a series of experiments to 
determine the feasibility and effectiveness of employing psychic spies 
to <i>“collect foreign intelligence information against documents shielded from normal perception,”</i> in a project code-named ‘Stargate.’<br />
These
 efforts weren’t limited to mere mortals, however, as none other than 
Israeli-born, celebrity psychic Uri Geller was brought in to test his 
psychic mettle against the researchers.<br />

They
 ranged from a firecracker to a bunch of grapes and even a quick sketch 
of our solar system. While Geller did have some surprising success 
throughout the experiments, the CIA decided not to pursue the research 
beyond its initial stage.<br />

 this all sounds familiar, that’s because it is; the 2009 film starring 
George Clooney and Ewan McGregor named 'The men who stare at goats' drew
 heavily from rumors and reports about psychic warfare research 
conducted by the CIA and other US intelligence agencies.<br />
While the
 release of millions of pages of documents may come as exciting news, it
 should be pointed out that they have been accessible since the year 
2000, but only on specific computers housed in National Archives in 
College Park, Maryland in the United States.<br />

On
 November 11, 2014, pilots spotted a strange object during a mission to 
patrol the coastal sector to the west ofа the Chilean capital of 
Santiago. The object was described as a flat elongated structure with 
two thermal centers. Ground radars did not detect the object. <br />
The
 object disappeared in the clouds as suddenly as it appeared. Having 
studied all the details, CEFAA experts found that the object was neither
 a bird, nor a piece of space garbage, insect, aircraft, parachutist, 
glider or atmospheric anomaly.  Concluding the report, the committee 
called the object "unidentified."</div>

The Taiwan UFOlogy Society (TUFOS) announced  that a 
photograph taken by a policeman at Jiaming Lake (嘉明湖) — located at an 
altitude of 3,310m  on the southern section of the Central Mountains in 
Taitung County — shows what appears to be a large alien creature, with a
 transparent body and webbed hands, walking in the distance.<br />
Due to its strange features, TUFOS executives say it does not look like a human being, but must have come from outer space.<br />

 chairman Huang Chao-ming (黃朝明) said the policeman gave them the photo, 
which was taken on his iPhone 4 mobile phone, for examination.<br />
