As a concept vehicle, the hulking Batmobile-like mean machine is 
unlikely to ever actually make it to Mars. However, the mammoth rover, 
standing 11ft (3.5 meters) tall and seating four people, gives an 
interesting insight into the way the US space agency is thinking about 
future missions.<br />

<i>“The next generation of space explorers could
 be traveling and working in high-tech mobile lab similar to [the 
concept vehicle],”</i> NASA <a href="https://www.kennedyspacecenter.com/events/events-calendar/2017/june/event-mars-rover-reveal">said</a>. <i>“[This
 rover] features life support systems, navigation and communication 
systems, design and materials that relate to conditions and resources on

So if the six-wheel drive vehicle is just one of the 
options, what else might NASA cook up for those brave enough to venture

one. The new vehicle is expected to speed up public transportation in

The developer describes the so-called Autonomous Rail Rapid Transit (ART) as a <i>‘railless train’</i> and it can carry 300 passengers in three carriages. Cars can be added or removed if needed.<br />

According to the <a href="http://www.crrcgc.cc/en/g7389/s10408/t286142.aspx">manufacturer</a>,
 the electric vehicle can travel up to 40 km on a full charge with a 
maximum speed of 70 km per hour. It runs on rubber tires and has sensors
 to read the dimensions of the road and plan its route. The idea is that
 the <i>'smart bus'</i> could travel without a driver or rails.<br />
<br />
<i>"It is like having a virtual rail for the bus,"</i> said Feng Jianghua, chief engineer of CRRC.<br />
The
 transit system was unveiled in Zhuzhou, in China's Hunan province is 
expected to be much cheaper than a subway or tram system since it 
doesn't require infrastructure to be laid down. It will be offered as a 
cheaper alternative to rail-based public transport as most medium-sized,
 and small cities in China can’t afford expensive subway systems.<br />
According
 to Xinhua, it costs up to $102 million to build a kilometer of a subway
 track, as compared to about $2 million for a standard length ART bus.<br />
A 6.5-kilometer demonstration route is due to open in Zhuzhou next year.<br />

Hong Kong’s Sky Post says in its report “China’s next-generation nuclear submarine expected to be fully electrical powered ahead of the US in technology”<br />
That according to CCTV’s recent report, China’s next generation of nuclear submarine will adopt axis-free propulsion with very low noise. That is as good as US most advanced Seawolf- and Virginia-class nuclear submarines.<br />
What makes Chinese nuclear submarines more advanced than US ones are their integrated electric power systems. The system turns all the energy in a warship from its engine, whether nuclear or conventional, into electricity.<br />
It further reduces noise to make Chinese submarines quieter than America’s best nuclear submarines. Moreover, it enables a warship to use high-energy weapons such as laser and electromagnetic guns. Only a few surface ships in the world now including some Chinese ones use that high-tech system, but no submarines in the world have ever used that.<br />
China’s new-generation nuclear submarines will be the first submarines using such technology.

top Chinese naval engineer, Rear Admiral Ma Weiming. The admiral is 
notably responsible for the development of multiple Chinese naval 
electromagnetic programs, including the electromagnetic catapult and 
railguns. In the interview, he stated that the PLAN is fitting its 
newest nuclear attack submarines with a "shaftless" rim-driven pumpjet, a
 revolutionary and silent propulsion system.<br />

rim-driven pumpjet has a ring-shaped electrical motor inside the pumpjet
 shroud, which turns the vane rotor (a vane rotor has the fan blades 
attached to a rotating band built on a cylinder interior, as opposed to a
 propeller shaft) inside the pumpjet cavity to create thrust. Previous 
submarine pumpjets are "shrouded propellers," which consist of a tubular
 nozzle covering the propeller.<br />
<br />
By removing the shaft of the propeller, 
the reduction in the number of moving parts decreases the noise made by 
the pumpjet, as well as saving hull space. Civilian manufacturers also 
claim that rim driven pumpjets are easier to maintain, and have less 
cavitation (bubbles that form during propeller movement), making them 
even more quiet.<br />

the video background was a large piece of electrical machinery, which is
 part of the PLAN's Integrated Electrical Propulsion System (IEPS). IEPS
 turns all the output of the ship's engine into electricity, unlike 
traditional propulsion designs, which convert engine and reactor output 
into mechanical action to turn the propeller shaft.<br />
<br />
The high electrical output can be used to power motors for the 
propellers or potentially high-energy weapons. Additionally, IEPS has 
far fewer moving parts, making them quieter, and thus ideal for use on 
submarines. When coupled with quieter reactors like the Type 095's 
reported natural circulation reactor, the rim-driven pumpjet and IEPS 
can drastically reduce the acoustic signature of any SSN.<br />
<br />
This combination, if it works, would be a significant gain for 
China's naval power. As China has gained in surface fleet numbers, 
stealthy planes, and longer-ranged missiles able to target U.S. carriers
 and air bases, America's submarine force has become viewed as its key 
advantage in any comparison. In turn, Chinese nuclear submarines have 
lagged behind competitors in their noisiness. Said another way, these 
innovations have the potential to strengthen a historic weakness.<br />
<br />
The reporting is significant for two more reasons. First, it 
illustrates the new openness in Chinese state media to discuss the 
technology behind previously secretive nuclear submarines, suggesting a 
greater confidence in showing off new military technology in order to 
impress domestic and foreign audiences.<br />
<br />
Secondly, if the system works, the Chinese may have stolen a march on
 the Americans and British, whose Columbia and Dreadnought nuclear 
ballistic missile submarine (SSBN) have the option for rim-drive 
pumpjets, but will not enter service until 2030. While the system would 
be on China's attack submarine, Chinese SSBNs could also use the 
rim-drive pumpjet to enhance their stealth and survivability—and, by 
extension, the credibility of China's second strike nuclear capability. 
These new submarine propulsion systems may not just power China's 
submarines of the future, but give Beijing a true superpower's
